Okay, Hotel J is one of those places where I knew exactly what to expect on my arrival. I knew it was going to be cool & nautical inspired – decked out in Gant and just pain ‘living in the Hamptons‘ like. I think I told myself over & over what to expect that it never quite clicked how amazing it was actually going to be.
This has to be one of my favourite places ever to photograph. To have the serenity and elegance translate in the pictures so easily is beyond incredible.
The experience was unforgettable. Waking up at 1am and wanting meatballs and then having them delivered within 20 minutes – Yes! Amazing..
I still don’t think I’m quite over the decor of the bedrooms. They had high ceilings, starry blankets & cushions and an overall freshness that made me sit down at intervals in my day and just breath and look around. If you know me, taking random breaks during the day to do nothing, is far from normal, but that’s what this hotel did. It portrayed itself as this idyllic safe-haven and I couldn’t help but be sucked into the vacuum of coolness.
I can honestly say that I’ve never felt this way about a hotel before (yes, I’m getting soppy on you..sorry) it is quite simply, a must-see!
So go check it out, to find out specifics on prices and such, check this out.. & keep an eye out for a post on the view from Hotel J.
