The week London Fashion Week was to start, on a average Tuesday night I came round the corner onto Welbeck Street, all I saw was a line. So i’m thinking cool, what’s everyone lining up for? Well i’ll check it out later, once i’ve finished at Meat Liquor, yeah it didn’t quite click that they were lining up to eat at Meat Liquor – it’s not often you see people lining up for a restaurant.
Luckily I had a resrvation, as I was doing a review on the restaurant so to those lining up’s annoyance, I literally strolled in and sat at my table. Fast forward 15 minutes to the pretentious free talk, my friend Kate & I ordered the basics, but wait – we ordered the basics because that’s what their menu consists of, it’s burgers, wings, chips, onion rings, that sorta vibe and the prices aren’t awful!
Downfall for me? What with there being a line outside, I kept thinking this food must be AMAZING, it was….good. Don’t get me wrong it couldn’t be compared to any old burger joint but it wasn’t a show stopping burger that i’d line up for.
The atmosphere is pretty electric, cool music & dimmed red lights and chilled out staff, so it’s definitely a fun place to check out! I can’t really recommend a day when it’s not busy as I went on a Tuesday and the line was a long, so can you just imagine a friday or saturday?
