Royal Wedding

A walk to remember.

April 29, 2011

So it’s the day a lot of people have been waiting for, specially a couple of crazy kids we refer to as Will & Kate.
All the talk on well, everything that’s going to happen, will be settled. We will sit – or stand, in awe at what Kate decides to wear (hopefully!), laugh at humorous moments that make us remember that we are all just humans who make mistakes occasionally and like to have fun; and finally, we will perhaps shed the tiniest tear, as even though this wedding sort of has nothing to do with us directly, it has impacted us a bit so far, with the bank holiday, regent street flag decorations and general memorabilia that seems to be all over the place! – but in addition to this, it will be a defining day in English history, which is pretty cool.

So simply enjoy the day everybody, go grab a limited edition Armani Exchange Union Jack top (which is £32 – so it’s a pretty affordable item that you can remember the day by) and send your wishes to the lovely soon to be married couple.

Now you may catch my occasional tweet on the weddings festivities & of course a mini post on the fashion but for the best coverage and commentary, go to ITV. I bet you’re thinking but what about BBC, well yes it’s the obvious choice, but Tatler Magazine’s Editor Kate Reardon will be on ITV, giving you all the best commentary, and let’s face it, she’s the best person for these events!

What’s on?

April 14, 2011

With the Royal Wedding, the general change in weather and well ‘stuff’ happening, here’s a little round-up of what’s going on..

1.

So Bench, a brand known for being more on the Urban side, have gone a little soft and retro with their ode  to the Royal Wedding.
With a limited edition commemorative dubplate along side electro maestro Doorly, remixing the patriotic classic “Land of hope and glory” as their own unique souvenir for the special day.

A limited press of 500 dubplates have been produced available exclusively at Bench stores as a gift for all non-sale purchases over £20, launching at Bench stores from 11am on the day of the wedding!
For now, you can listen to the remix on Facebook

2.

This Saturday Guess jewellery will be having an event at Selfridges with a live DJ set, where you have a chance to view the latest collection as well get a load of free stuff  from purchasing from the collection.
You might remember my piece on the launch of their store in Knightsbridge, so there were a few items that were surprising cool, so if you’re free on Saturday go check it out between 1pm and 6pm.

3.

AND finally tonight is the CK One & MTV Push party, which has a pretty cool line-up including Katy B (Whose music, I love!) & it’s being hosted by recent UK Vogue cover girl, Lara Stone.
So if you were lucky enough to get a ticket, I’ll see you there. x

Also if you’ve been following my twitter you will know that the blog redesign isn’t completely finished, however it’s in a presentable state. My blog posts were amassing and I didn’t want a case where the news I was telling you was REALLY old and no longer relevant, so here we are, think of it as the builders going on a coffee break during the renovation of your bedroom, but you decided to come in and chill in it’s almost finished glory :)
